I. PENGERTIAN HUKUM Dalam memberikan pengertian mengenai hukum, para ahli dan sarjana ilmu hukum melihat dari berbagai sudut yang berlainan dan berbeda-beda antara satu ahli dengan yang lainnya. Dengan demikian, tidak ada kesatuan atau keseragaman tentang definisi hukum, antara lain Van Kan, Utrecht, dan Wiryono Kusumo. 1. Van Kan Menurut Van Kan hukum ialah keseluruhan peraturan hidup yang bersifat memaksa untuk melindungi kepentingan manusia didalam masyarakat. 2.
